Intelligent applications
Workshop Program
We are pleased to invite participation in the workshop on Applications of Artificial Intelligence,
a joint event in the interdisciplinary field of modern intelligent
systems. The Workshop will consist of keynote talks and paper presentations
on the applications of Intelligent Systems in Mexico and others countries.
The workshop will take place at November 6, in conjunction with the MICAI 2007 Conference.
Topics
The purpose of a workshop is to provide participants with the opportunity to present and discuss recent research results in the design, development, testing, implementation, and/or management of expert and intelligent systems; share experiences and promote collaboration, in the areas of, but not limited to:
Industrial Control, Monitoring and Planning, Fault Diagnosis, Medical & Diagnostic Systems,
Fuzzy Techniques and Systems, Genetic Algorithms and Evolutionary, Hybrid
Intelligent Systems, Intelligent Agents and Multi-Agent Systems, Bayesian Networks, Knowledge
Representation and Management, Computer Vision, Spatial & Temporal Reasoning.
Submissions
We invite interested persons to submit a camera-ready, two-page extended abstract about recent work or work in progress, or a system description.
Submissions should be sent in either word or PDF format by email to the workshop organisers at: garroyo@iie.org.mx.
Please use the style file provided by Springer for the LNCS series: http://www.springeronline.com/lncs
Each submission should include the names and complete addresses (including email) of all authors. Correspondence will be sent to the first author, unless otherwise indicated. The main objective of the abstracts is to spread information about recent work in our community, and we expect to accept most in-topic submissions, but we may ask for revisions.
Abstracts will be published in informal workshop notes and be made available on the internet.
Authors of selected extended abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper, to be peer reviewed, for possible publication in an international journal like "Journal of Research in Computing Science", "Computacion y Sistemas" or "Electronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science".
Presentations
Each workshop attendee will be allocated a 25 minute slot, for a short talk to introduce their research.
Registration Fees
MICAI workshops registration fee will be waived for a
participant who has a full registration to MICAI. In
addition, SMIA has kindly agreed upon waiving the
registration fee to the first registrant of each extended
abstract accepted within the Workshop.
